I know it’s not Spring yet, but today felt like we have come through the darkest days :)
The snowdrops are fully out and the early daffodils are starting to bloom. We had 2 lovely events at the Ancient Tech for Samhain in October and Winter Solstice on the 20th December.
A few clips here from the Winter Solstice – I shared the Samhain clips in my Autumn Blog.
We were Drumming in the Light!
Burning the log was great! We started the song...
whilst Ellie and Matt brought in the Yule log with our wishes, to be burned to song, drums, tambourines and rattles. Rise up bright Flames –
I had an intentionally quiet January, a good rest was needed. Spring is not far away, we are passed Imbolc and that always brings a spring into my step.
I am looking ahead into the New Year, jumping over the change into the Fire Horse and springing into a lighter part of the year. My birthday is early March and for me that is always a fun time. I shall plan some sessions for March and post them as and when.
I have committed to Freezone Festival end May for 2 circles on Saturday and Sunday – link:
and I look forward to doing a circle at Sounds Beautiful in June – link:
I am always happy to be hired for Retreat days or Special occasions – sessions are generally 60 minutes and I create it in the moment. I am looking forward to the longer days, maybe sessions on the Cliff top again depending on good weather. We need a hot summer ! Check:
…. and ‘Home singing session’ are a favourite – here we are at Shona Dunn on the 4th February:
I am still reading books aloud, presently ‘Travels with my Aunt’ by Graham Greene, a choice in honour of my ex who passed in 2022 and who was a GG Aficionado. GG was not my favourite writer but this one was my favourite – his others being too... well each to their own and he is widely read. We even met him once!
All details on my Youtube playlist:
Have a lovely Season! Shona and I shall be at the Ancient tech for Beltane - 2nd of May, we are looking forward to that! Ellie of Earthkin events will publish details for tickets when ready.
I hope you have a lovely season, no chat Gpt was used writing this blog – just me :)
Happy Days – with Love
Heike x
